More than Just a Dance
Through flamenco-based movement and rhythm, we work with underserved and vulnerable communities in Singapore to promote physical and emotional well-being, social connection and raise awareness of social causes that are relevant in Singapore

Why
Through our social out-reach programs, we have seen first-hand the benefits of flamenco:
-
Flamenco-based movement supports physical health by encouraging balance, coordination and mobility.
-
Rhythmic patterns of flamenco-based movement stimulate memory and focus.
-
The expressive nature of flamenco-based movement becomes a "voice" for emotional expression and release and story-telling without words.
Our programs:
-
Bring people together through our shared community activities and events.
-
Build confidence through learning new movements and having opportunities to perform and share at community events.
What began as a small initiative years ago has grown into a sustained commitment to carry our passion beyond the stage and into the community.

How
Our social outreach programs include intergenerational workshops in elder‑care homes, movement and rhythm sessions for youth at risk, and flamenco‑based empowerment programs for women. We work with partners across social service groups, elder‑care centres, disability organisations, community centres, and schools.
Led by professional artists experienced in community facilitation, our workshops blend flamenco movement, rhythm, drama, and physical theatre. We create space for participants to reflect on their own stories and relationships, and to co‑create original material through lyrics, spoken text, and dance. We want them to be heard.
Our programs intentionally bring together diverse communities—seniors, youth, mothers, and persons with diverse abilities. Through shared movement and co‑creation, participants discover common values while celebrating Singapore’s multicultural richness.

La Fiesta
La Fiesta is our signature community outreach program and event with our community groups and beneficiaries. It is where participants present their co‑created work. Families, neighbours, and supporters gather to celebrate their courage, creativity, and collective spirit.
La Fiesta explores themes that are shaped by its participants and are therefore highly personal. Themes have including community and friendship, aging, personal grief and how relationships shape our lives—within families, friendships, neighbourhoods, workplaces, and the wider community.
Past partners include Kebun Bahru Community Centre, SAMH, WINGS, SHG, River Academy, and many others who share our belief in the power of flamenco to support our communities.
